The 2008 fatal stabbing of Marcelo Lucero, an Ecuadorian immigrant, exposes a thinly veiled system of intolerance for immigrants in a Long Island community.
Director Sue Hagedorn and co-producer Carlos Barbot are both graduates of the Doc Studies class of 2006. In addition, field producer/associate editor Selena Rhine and post-production supervisor Saman Maydání are also program alums from the years 2010 and 2011.
